Mobile phone number: provided by you at sign-in or checkout to receive SMS from Approach.
Payment information: processed by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers or CVV codes; Stripe securely stores a token representing your payment method.
Communication data: the questions and messages you send us via SMS, and the coach responses (text and video) relayed back to you.
Usage data: timestamps, session lengths, and aggregated activity metrics used to operate and improve the service.

To deliver coach answers and follow-up messages by SMS
To send sign-in verification codes
To process your payments and prevent fraud
To respond to your support requests
To comply with legal obligations

3. SMS messaging and your mobile phone number

Approach sends SMS to the phone number you provide for the following transactional purposes: delivering coach video answers, relaying follow-up messages, sending one-time sign-in codes, confirming payments, and processing refunds. Message frequency varies based on your activity. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for support.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number, opt-in data, or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

4. Third parties we share with

We do not sell your data. We share the minimum information necessary with the following service providers to operate the service:

Stripe — payment processing
Twilio — SMS delivery and phone-based sign-in
Mux — video hosting and delivery
Convex — application database and backend hosting
Vercel — website hosting

5. Data retention

We retain your data as long as necessary to provide the service and for legitimate business purposes (e.g., financial recordkeeping, tax compliance, dispute resolution). You may request deletion of your account and associated data by emailing privacy@askapproach.app.

6. Security

We use industry-standard measures to protect your data in transit (TLS) and at rest. Payment card data is handled entirely by Stripe, which is PCI DSS Level 1 compliant.

7. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email privacy@askapproach.app.

8. Children

The service is not intended for individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
